Updates part deux

And now to the second installment of our show "Updates on what happened in Michal's life in the past two weeks", and boy - do we have a show for you! So little time and so much has happened. Let us not spend another moment and get to the business:
Kitty Kraft sent me those amazing fabrics! They're so nice, really! They also sent me a cute fabric sample. Aren't these just amazing? I'm in love with the little bunnies on beige on the bottom right. So adorable. I wish we didn't have to import all those lovelies... Joy, joy!
And speaking of joy, let me rejoice in the joys of others:
N my dear friend from Israel is getting married to the man she spent the last 8 (9?) years with. They're SO cute and deserve the best of wishes. My Holy Land gang - beware. I may be able to show up and celebrate with her. Also on the engaged front - my Secret Pal 7 palee Gwen. Congrads!
And on a similar front, S and S are expecting a second child! Seems like that happend a lot faster this time. Good! See how cute she turned out, though? And see who she's playing with?
That's all for today, until next time - be good and make pretty things!

Updates part uno

So I'll have to split my many updates into multiple entries or blogger will pass out. Ok, first things first - than you's galore:
Thank you Dorothy! My project colorswap for april (yellow and orange) is a cool grandma to a cutie little girl who insisted on making her dream of going to school come true - who cares when? So funny, we're both straggling with deadlines - and pals! And yeah, she knew what I need - chocolate and coffee. There's also some awesome sock yarn, a cute dish cloth and some lovely smelling soap and candle. Thank Dorothy! you rock the school!

Thank you so much Secret Pal 7 pal! Look what I got in my last package: there's a drop spindle, a spinning book and some awesome fiber - alpaca and merino. I can barely take my hands off it, so soft... I tried spinning some a couple of weeks ago, but had very little time and patience... Which I will have soon, sitting on MY couch, in MY living room and hopefully, with Ant and our own kitten and puppy next to me.

Because, yeah! We signed the leasing agreement last week, and this lovely apartment is ours for a while. We went there today to take mesures and figure out which furnitures to get. And we looked at some small stuff (the big IKEA trip is for this weekend). We even got our first thing: it's a tiny little kitten shaped bowl for soy sauce for the TONS of sushi we'll make together. Isn't it cute?

More updates tomorrow.

This is an automated message

Hi!
You've reached the blog of Michal M. Wright. Due to the fact that my thesis film is due in two weeks, I can't get to the blog right now. Please leave a message, and I'll get back to you as soon as the 24th goes away. If you're my swap pal - don't worry! I'm on track with those completely.
Thank you, and have a good day.
P.S.
Wish me luck!

We don't want you either

We were sitting in the leasing office of the apartment complex we might spend the next six months in, and this lady calls. She has scheduled a meeting with the agent before, but now she called him to say that "they have seen too many black people on the street and they'll pass".
Thank you very much for sparing us your company.

My first needle book

I finished that on the day after a massive all-nighter (working through the night and not sleeping until the following night). It's for Dorothy, my Project Color Swap pal (hi Lady!).
I was so inspired by these lovelies, especially this. I wish mine was as cute, though... I really need to work on my sewing.
Hope you like it, Dorothy!

Remember, remember the fifth of November...
